Team Growth: We grew from 20 to 25 employees in 2024, while continuing to uphold our Living Wage Employer certification.

225+ metric tons of green coffee sourced in 2024

💚 Community Support
Ardent Children Centre (Ethiopia): Ongoing support for orphaned children
Café Femenino (Peru): Supported since 2014; funded a shelter for women and children in 2024
World Coffee Research: Annual contributions since 2018
Farmers’ Voice Radio: Long-term supporter of community radio for smallholder farmers
Our Community Grants Programme awarded 25 grants, totalling £10,620 — averaging £425 per grant, to local grass-roots organisations
🏡 Local Engagement
Hosted 27 music and arts events and 6 pop-up café days at the mill
Active member of the In the Colne Valley business and community network
🌳 Environmental Impact
Total Carbon Emissions: Increased from 210.1 tons (2023) to 273.1 tons (2024) due to business growth
Emissions per employee: Decreased from 13.13 to 12.01 tons
Carbon Inset: Planted 800 trees in El Ata Coffee Community, Colombia (433 forest, 367 fruit), as part of the annual programme. Expected to absorb ~200 tons of CO₂ over 10 years
🔄 Circular Economy Initiatives
Home Compostable Packaging: Retail packs redesigned to be fully compostable.
Reusable Coffee Can Programme:
• 1,716 cans reused in 2024
• Saved 10,194 kilo bags and 662.38 kg of cardboard
• Cans reused 7 times on average — now officially climate positive
