It’s a pleasure to be a part of the Colne Valley’s ever-changing industrial and craft heritage. The climate and terrain of the valley shaped the early years of its history and now the landscape and weather-beaten weavers cottages and mills house a growing community of artisan and craft producers, supported by a network of independent, specialist outlets.

Pop-up Cafe 9.30am to 3.00pm

The last Saturday of each month, during the summer and autumn we run our pop-up cafe days at the mill. We serve our fantastic coffees, teas and hot chocolate and an array of beautiful, tasty, cakes, pastries and pies by local craft producers. Outside, in our woods, Roaming Rumpus are serving hot food from their mobile, gourmet kitchen, whilst next door, Zapato Micro Brewery will open up their tap room for the best in local craft beers. Walkers, cyclists are welcome and the mill is fully accessible for wheelchairs. Dogs are welcome in our outside seating areas (we can't allow them inside as a food production site I'm afraid). More information in our blog article.

Marsden Jazz Fest in the Dark Woods

We are proud to support and be a part of the Marsden Jazz Festival once again this year. On Saturday 12th October, we will open for a special Jazz Fest Cafe Day pop-up. With all of the fantastic cakes, pastries, pies and coffee that you have come to expect from our monthly cafe days, we will have a jazz theme throughout the day. Our very own jazz aficionado, Paul, will be keeping the vinyl spinning throughout the day, then, in the afternoon, we are over the moon to be presenting a live set from Martin Speake's Charukesi; playing their acclaimed mix of vibrant, infectious grooves and improvisations inspired by Indian and Arabic traditions, with a jazz sensibility.
